Tank Attach Angles

Back in the shop after a great trip down to Arizona..  Was fun to hang out with the family for Halloween.  Now back to business though.   I started working on the tank attach angles because it is a fairly independent project and can be picked up easily after being out of the shop for a while.  Going back to drilling the baffle to the Z brackets is going to take more thought and I will probably get to that this weekend.

The Tank Attach Angles require a lot of metal work.  Basically you take a piece of angle, and cut it up with the bandsaw per the plans and come out with something that really has no sharp edges.  the pics below show the first few steps.

In the image below you can see what the final product is going to look like.  This piece butts up against the leading edge tip of the tank and connects to the Fuselage when the wings are attached.   Its a pretty heavy and thick piece of angle.
